Who Was Prof. Dr. Boike Rehbein?

Boike Rehbein was born in Berlin on February 18, 1965. He studied philosophy, sociology, and history at various prestigious universities, completing his doctorate in philosophy in 1996 and his post-doctoral thesis in sociology in 2004. He was a leading expert on globalization processes, mainland Southeast Asia, the social structure of society, and the work of Pierre Bourdieu. He held visiting professorships in various countries and served as Director of the Global Studies Program at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. He was deeply passionate about teaching and fostering educational opportunities outside of the university.
