The female hygiene program was designed to help young local women and girls to understand their bodies and to help them care for it according to its needs. We developed a course that educates on the female anatomy, as well as hygienic needs that need to be attended to especially during menstruation, and finally, on social stigmatization of periods in the northern Indian general society.
